Ren Umai is a born and raised native of Greensboro, North Carolina. Ren has been writing music since his middle school years and realized early on that his sound is a little different from most of the music made in his area. However, he still manages to keep a connection to his surroundings and the musical preferences of his peers at the same time. His way of rapping about the usual scenarios and lifestyles of him and his peers yet looking at it from the other side of the spectrum is where he shines.
